Frequently Asked Questions

What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol and is a naturally produced chemical compound - cannabinoids - found in the hemp plant and has non-intoxicating properties. Hemp and marijuana are also referred to as cannabis, but are separate strains of cannabis. Marijuana is cultivated for its psychoactive properties. Hemp is extracted for industrial and textiles purposes.

The tetrahydrocannabinol or THC levels in CBD is less than 0.3 percent. THC, of course, contains much more and produces a “high” sensation.

How does CBD react with the human body?

The CBD compound cannabinoids interact with our body’s receptors that produce cannabinoids as well. This is part of our endocannabinoid system (receptors in the nervous, reproductive, and immune systems), which is responsible for regulating homeostasis. When CBD is taken, it directs the body to use more of its own cannabinoids, regulating a balance in your sleep, mood, immunity, appetite, pain-sensation, inflammation, and more.

Is CBD legal?

Our CBD products are legal to sell and purchase in most of the US under the new federal law as long as it contains less than 0.3 percent THC.

[Source: Yahoo News] “To put it short, The federal 2018 Farm Bill lifted a nationwide ban on producing hemp, from which the oil is made, and which formerly was classified as a controlled substance. But the bill left states to follow their own laws, many of which still classify hemp as illegal, reports The New York Times.”

What does this mean to you? Check your state’s and/or local laws regarding CBD because most states have yet to change their laws to match the new federal rules. This puts local law enforcement and judicial systems in a quandary over what is legal and what is not.

Will I fail a drug test?

Unfortunately, it’s very likely. There is less than 0.3 percent THC in CBD products.

If your employer is drug-free workplace and conducts drug testing (that looks for traces of THC) you may want to reconsider other healing alternatives as drug test results have been known to turn positive.

Will I get a high sensation?

No, absolutely not. Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive.

If you were experiencing any kind of pain or have mental/emotional issues (depression, anxiety, high stress), and have been taking a good amount of CBD for stabilization, a positive mood can be expected.

How much CBD do I start with?

Micro-dosing is the key to finding your “sweet spot”. You can start with the dosage recommendation (or less) labeled on the product. After a few tries, your body will let you know if increasing the dosage is needed. Give it a few days to a few weeks to find your sweet spot.
